Shiftboard Names New CEO to Support Rapid Growth
SEATTLE, WA (PRWEB) DECEMBER 09, 2015 – Shiftboard, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand, dynamic workforce management software, today announced the appointment of Sterling Wilson as president and CEO and a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Sterling has extensive experience building startups into significant companies. Sterling was the fifth employee, CFO and EVP of Operations at Concur, the global leader in travel and expense management, taking the company public. Following Concur, Sterling was the president of Qpass for eight years, leading it through a major turnaround and successful sale to Amdocs for $300 million in 2006. Most recently, Sterling was president and CEO of Zettics, which successfully merged with Movik Networks earlier this year. Sterling is a seasoned veteran at raising capital, growing business, and leading them to successful exits.
“As businesses increase their dependence upon flexible, dynamically organized, skilled, and schedule-driven workers, their need for responsive solutions to optimize and manage them efficiently is growing,” said Bryan Lhuillier, Shiftboard’s founder and Chief Product Officer. “Now is the perfect time for Shiftboard to bring in the best, most experienced executive to expand our company operations, grow our leadership footprint, and help ensure that we continue to advance the markets in this space. With Sterling on board, I’m very excited about the future of Shiftboard and I’m looking forward to focusing exclusively on our company’s products, partnership opportunities, and related strategy.”
Active in Sterling’s recruitment were other company board members, Mike Brown and Carl Albrecht. Mike is past CFO of Microsoft, past Chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market and currently a director of EMC, VMware, Insperity, Stifel Financial and several private technology companies. Carl Albrecht is a Partner at The Arnold Group and serves on the boards of several private companies and non-profit entities.
Commenting on the hire, Mike said, “Bryan has done an outstanding job building Shiftboard into the fast-growing, well-governed company it is today, and he has demonstrated the clear market demand for expansion. We plan to grow rapidly to address this global demand, and Sterling is the perfect person to help make this happen. He has an impressive track record in growing companies like Shiftboard, and we are very excited about his leading the company.”
“Employers, full time employees and the temporary workers will see large efficiencies and greater satisfaction in their jobs when they use a scalable SaaS solution specifically designed to manage a dynamic, schedule-based workforce” said Sterling. “Shiftboard is an amazing company with great employees, products, customers and a massive business opportunity.
