Thank you for your interest in KEXP's Volunteer Program! Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. We look for individuals who are motivated, independent workers, team players, organized, efficient, and excellent communicators with a love of music and knowledge of KEXP's mission in the community. 

DJ ASSISTANT

• Assist the DJ by pulling music from the music library, filling in the online playlist, and answering listener emails and texts
• 3-5 hours shifts, varying days and times

 EVENTS

• Assist with registration, door security, venue capacity. and hospitality
• 3-5 hour shifts varying days and times

 FRONT DESK

• Assist with administrative tasks
• Answer phones and emails, greet guests and volunteers, assist patrons, data entry, distribute mail
• Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
• Saturday - Sunday 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

 FUNDRAISING DRIVE ASSISTANT

• Assist Phone Room Supervisors and Show Producers
• Receive food deliveries
• Replenish food supplies for volunteers and staff

 FUNDRAISING DRIVE - GIFT PROCESSING

• Enter donation information into a database

• Must have an eye for detail and an ability to stay focused

 FUNDRAISING DRIVE - PHONE TEAM             

• Answer phones and write donor information on take-in form
• Must feel comfortable talking on the phone and working in a fast paced environment

 FUNDRAISING DRIVE - TALLY TEAM        

• Update the total amount of donations
• Must be computer literate and able to multi-task

 IN-STUDIO HOSPITALITY

• Provide hospitality to bands, session information to DJ and Production Team, and load in/out door security
• 3 to 4 hour shifts, varying times and days

MAILING PARTY

• Stuff envelopes and send thank you gifts to members (t-shirts, mugs, etc)
• 2 to 4 hour shifts varying days and times

 MUSIC LIBRARY

• Assist with data entry, digitization and various projects.
• Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

 MUSIC LIBRARY PAGE

• Keep CD shelves organized and alphabetized
• Monday - Friday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

 PUBLIC IN-STUDIO PERFORMANCE

• Facilitate in-studio viewing registration and viewing
• 3 hour shifts varying days and times

 TOUR DOCENT

• Give scripted tours to a variety of group types
• 10:00 am and 2:00 pm DAILY
• Private tours scheduled separately between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday - Friday

 PHOTOGRAPHER

• Photograph musicians in action during KEXP in-studios and sponsored events
• 3 to 4 hour shifts varying days and times

 TABLING

• Represent and promote KEXP at music festivals and shows
• Hand out stickers, pins, and various swag
• Must have vast knowledge of KEXP Programming and Mission
• 3 to 5 hour shifts varying days and times

VIDEOGRAPHER

• Capture video of KEXP's exclusive in-studios and sponsored events
• 3 to 4 hours shifts varying days and times
