Registration: Vancouver International Film Festival Society Volunteer Program

All applicants, including Volunteer Alumni, must go through a screening and selection process. Team placement is based on your interview, availability, and skill set. All Lead positions require that additional documents be sent to vol.onboarding@viff.org. View a summary of Lead positions and their required documents: LEAD DOCUMENTS

All applicants must be 16 years or older. Some teams and venues require volunteers to be 19 and older.

All items with (*) must be filled out in order to submit your application. Applicants are contacted when positions become available.

All Volunteers must attend an orientation.

Newsletter

During the 11 days of the festival, we send out a daily Volunteer Newsletter chock-full of festival info for our volunteer teams. In submitting this application, you are consenting to receiving emails regarding the VIFF Volunteer Program. If you want to be on any of our other email lists, please sign up.

The daily newsletters will feature volunteers from the festival. If you would like to be considered, a user picture in your application and answering these next 3 questions is mandatory!

* As a volunteer, you are eligible to become a voting member of the Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society (GVIFFS). Each member receives one vote, which they can exercise at the Society’s General Meetings (Annual or Special). All members are responsible for upholding the Society’s constitution and bylaws. Responsibilities: All members are responsible for upholding the Society’s constitution and bylaws. Entitlements: Each member receives one vote, which they can exercise at the Society’s General Meetings (Annual or Special). Membership will also allow individuals to become involved in the Society’s voluntary governance structures. Revocation and denial of renewal: The Board of the Greater Vancouver International Film Festival Society can choose to revoke or deny voting membership and its privileges to any individual who acts in a manner inconsistent with the policies, bylaws, and constitution of the Society.
