All applicants, including Volunteer Alumni, must go through a screening and selection process. Team placement is not guaranteed and is based on your interview, availability, skill-set, and any supplemental documents.

All applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Please note that certain shift positions and teams require volunteers to be 19+.

Submitting this application will create your Shiftboard account or update your existing account. Shiftboard is how the Volunteer Department schedules and communicates to all VIFF volunteers. All items with (*) must be filled out in order to submit your application. Applicants are contacted once accepted. We receive a remarkable number of applications every year. While we do our best to respond to everyone, we will reach out directly to successful applicants. Thank you for your interest in supporting VIFF.

Expected mandatory orientations for new volunteers will be offered to applicants that are accepted once the year-round application closes. We will reach out to you!
