Thank you for your interest in our Medical team!
Our Medical Team is an integral part of ensuring our guests enjoy their Shambhala experience in a safe environment. Please note that proof of current and valid certification for roles in our Medical team are required.
Review the new Medical Volunteer Recruitment Information prior to completing this application for important information.
The deadline to apply for the Medical Team is March 15, 2023. Any applications received after March 15 will be reviewed on a case by case basis dependent on need.
Note: You will be required to submit a photo of yourself, this will be used on your Crew ID badge and is not relevant to our hiring process, it must be a clear headshot - hats are OK but please no dark sunglasses or masks! We must be able to identify you based on the photo provided. Photos that do not meet this criteria, or are considered to be inappropriate by our HR staff will be rejected.
Note: Please remember to check the Medical Volunteer Recruitment Information for your required certifications as you'll need to upload those that are applicable to your profession.
Are you licensed outside of B.C.?
If you hold equivalent licenses from outside BC, you must obtain licensure in BC to be eligible to volunteer. To ensure your application is considered, please submit this form and email us at medical@shambhalamusicfestival.com to confirm that you will apply for licensure in BC once you have been confirmed for a position. Due to potential costs involved, we recommend you wait until you have confirmed a position with SMF Medical. You WILL NOT be eligible to volunteer without appropriate BC credentials.
In order to improve team cohesion and patient care, our Medical team scheduling is set according to sets of paired shifts covered by five teams, please click here to see our team schedules.
Please Note: Priority placement is given to volunteers who worked Teams 3, 4, or 5 in 2019 whenever possible, then returning volunteers from all other shifts, and finally new volunteers. Teams 3, 4 and 5 offer the best clinical care experience.
A limited number of people are needed for shifts pre show (July 17-19) and post show (July 24-25). Please indicate your interest and availability.
