Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2007 Seattle International Film Festival! SIFF is the largest film festival in the United States, utilizing over 1000 volunteers, thanks to your help! In exchange for volunteering, we want you to see films, so SIFF provides one movie voucher for every two hours you volunteer. Learn more on the Voucher Information page.

SIFF uses volunteers in almost every area of the festival from special events to print traffic. We welcome your help in all these areas, but our BIGGEST NEED IS FOR USHERS. SIFF fills well over 2,000 ushering shifts during the festival in addition to many other roles that are now required year-round. Ushers are on site at the venues doing everything from tearing tickets to wrangling lines of patrons. To find out more about ushering, check out the What is Ushering? page.

The SIFF Shiftboard service and volunteer website were designed to help you arrange your schedules, sign up for the volunteer shifts you want, get reminders and stay connected with the many exciting opportunities happening throughout the year at SIFF.

If you have not already registered: After you have completed the Volunteer Application using valid contact information, you will receive our welcome email letter with a Shiftboard password (if you do not already have a Shiftboard account). You will then be able to login, join the teams that most interest you, sign up for volunteer shifts, and view any other shifts you are already signed up for!

Please check out the information provided here including Other Volunteer Opportunities. If you still have questions, please contact the Volunteer Office via email, phone or in person.

Happy Volunteering!
