Account Manager

We are currently seeking candidates for an Account Manager position to join our growing team based in the historic Smith Tower in the heart of Pioneer Square. The ideal candidate would be self-driven, organized, passionate, focused, flexible, and eager to make an impact.

This is an intermediate, full sales cycle, inside sales role with an outbound lead generation component. The role would provide competitive pay, career growth opportunities, great benefits, commission/bonus potential, and the opportunity to earn equity in Shiftboard.

As an Account Manager, you will manage the sales process throughout the sales cycle, including managing demo requests, running webinars, lead follow-up, prospecting, qualification, and negotiating and closing new business. You will have an attainable revenue and transaction quota and will be tasked with creating and managing your pipeline.

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Field inbound leads and prospect requests
  • Manage the sales cycle from inception to completion
  • Prospecting proven Shiftboard verticals to generate new opportunities
  • Assist in fielding inbound chats and sales calls
  • Successfully transition new customers to our support staff to initiate new customer training
  • Upselling existing accounts
  • Communicate with Product Management team on usability issues, product features, and suggestions

About You...

  • You have at least 18 months of sales experience -- software sales experience is a plus
  • Experience with a technical sale
  • Comfortable with phone-based sales and defined call quotas
  • Exemplary communication skills -- both written and verbal
  • Must be very well-organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Has a hunger to close business and a passion for selling
  • Being a self-starter is essential
  • Comfortable working in a small office environment -- team player
  • Open to taking on side projects outside of core responsibilities
  • Technically proficient in MS Office, Google Office Suite, SalesForce, Desk
  • Open to feedback and direction -- teachable

Senior Developer

In addition to having an awesome product and an amazing location, we have a great team and you will help make it even better. Our founder and CEO was the lead developer for many years and understands technology and the work involved to make magic happen. Our company is still very small enabling you to make a big impact. We are debt-free and profitable so we're going to be here for a while. Our turn-over is nearly nonexistent which is why you rarely hear about us hiring. We are not growing for the sake of growing, we are growing because we have more work than we can handle; most of which will help increase revenue. Our existing engineers are top-notch and we're only interested in hiring the cream of the crop. We believe that talent breeds talent and we need some top-shelf talent. There is a lot that you can learn from us. If we do not feel that is reciprocal, you will not be offered a job.

We are an open source shop. We use: Bash, FreeBSD, FreeSWITCH, Git, Java (Android), Memcached, MySQL, Node.js, Objective-C (iOS), Ruby on Rails, Perl, Python/Django, Swift, and Ubuntu. Obviously we're not tied a single language or tool and we're open to adding more if doing so will help us deliver a better product to our users.

  • 5 years of professional development experience
