Recently, I participated in a real-time Twitter event conducted by BusinessWeek.
I thought we might make it into an article at that famous and well-respected publication, but alas, we didn’t. But the process they went through to crowdsource ideas and experts was telling and interesting. Perhaps a sign of the times. The media is increasingly under fire trying to generate meaningful and profitable traffic.
The result of the Twitter discussion was they then turned the discussion into a special report that included more in-depth discussion with some of the participants, into video interviews, and into a couple of traditional articles.
