General Administration Tasks
Assist in the Frameline office by answering phones, filing, copying, helping with mailings, guest bag stuffing and transport, assembling press kits, and inventory of festival merchandise. |

Box Office Counter
Help ticket buyers, provide festival information to the public, assist with festival merchandise, and monitor lines at the Festival Box Office. |
|
Outreach Team
Get the word out by helping with community outreach by delivering program guides, distributing posters & flyers around the community on foot, by bike, or by car. If driving, you must have a valid driver's license, car, and clean driving record. Mileage will be reimbursed. |
|
Print Traffic
Help quality check exhibition copies of videos. Background in film/video preferred. |

Volunteer Department
Assist with phone calls and volunteer outreach. |

Festival Departments |
|
Load-In/Load-Out
Help us move into and decorate Festival venues and then move out and break down at the end of the Festival. Requires heavy lifting. |

This is the most vital part of our annual Festival volunteer needs! All Theatre Ushering shifts require cleaning of theatres in between screenings. Gloves provided. You will be assigned on-site by Theatre Ops Staff and you may be doing more than one of these positions in one shift:

Assist patrons in finding seats and keeping aisles clear. |
|
Stand at entrance to theatre and take tickets/check passes. |
|
Hand out ballots, surveys, and promo giveaways to patrons as they enter the theatre. Collect them after the screening. |
|
Help create and manage lines for screenings inside and outside the venue. Bring a jacket! |
|
Assist with saving Reserved Seats for filmmakers, pass holders, and sponsors. |
|
|
Frameline32 marks the return of the AT&T Festival Pavilion which will bring a higher level of engagement and education to the festival audience. Located in the parking lot next to the Castro Theatre, the AT&T Festival Pavilion will be utilized for Q&A discussions, receptions, filmmaker hospitality, and much more!

Help patrons with directional assistance, information about festival screenings and events. Also provide information about Frameline’s programs and how to become a member of Frameline. |

Help seat patrons in the Q&A tent, assist with microphones, and monitor general cleaning. |

Monitor recycling, compost, and refuse bins. Gloves provided! |

Stationed in the Pavilion and help fill in for shifts as cancellations/no-shows arise. Must be willing to jump into a different position every shift. |

Ballot Processing
Count and process audience award ballots. |

Assist patrons who are picking up their ticket orders at festival venues. |

Provides guest services and information to all invited guests of the festival.

Drive filmmakers and guests to and from the airport, hotels, and events. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Mileage reimbursed. |

Process guests of the festival. Give out badges and other festival information. |

Host a visiting filmmaker by providing accommodations in your home or apartment. |

Meet and greet visiting filmmakers before their screenings at festival venues. |

Help make the festival more accessible to the deaf and hard of hearing community. Depending on need, we will contact you with opportunities. Must be accredited ASL interpreter. |

Interpret for special guests. Depending on need, we will contact you with opportunities. Must be comfortable speaking in front of an audience and have experience with interpreting. |

|
Help transport films from venue to venue. Heavy lifting. |
|
|
|
Use your own digital camera and help document the festival. Shoot at specific screenings, events, and receptions. Previous photography experience preferred. |

Help coordinate press at various venues. |
|
|
|
Help maintain food and beverage tables. Serving/Bartending involved, experience a plus! |
|
Help with set-up and/or break down of an event. |
|
All good parties need a great clean-up crew! |

Post-Festival Departments |
|
Frameline is a beneficiary of Folsom Street Events and provides volunteers at the signature leather events in San Francisco: Dore Alley Fair (July) and Folsom Street Fair (September). “Give back 'til it hurts!” |

Want to watch queer film year-round? Usher at Frameline’s monthly screening series at the SF LGBT Center! Screenings are every second Thursday of the month. |
